my only limitation is me.

I've lived a long time believing there were certain things I simply could not do--so I didn't do them. I didn't even try. My acceptance so easy--like water. I never questioned--I never challenged--I never reached further than I thought I should go--I swallowed other's judgments smoothly--tasting fact as the flavor of fiction. I resigned without hesitation--until now. I will not believe I can't do something--until I try. I am my only limitation. Your only limitation is you.

So I am here to say that I successfully completed my first module of Medical School. It was so lovely pushing the submit button after my last question on my 100 multiple choice test and seeing a passing score! I know I can do this now. It is just a matter of staying determined and consistent. As hard as it is here, I love it. I love going to class. I love my classmates. I love my professors. I love learning. I started my new module today so I better get back to work. Thank you all for your prayers and concerns. I love you all.

Medical School

A wise man once said, "Ride the horse till you fall off." These past months has been a growing experience for me. I would be lying if I told you I have never asked myself what the hell* (sorry I had to make it dramatic) am I doing here. It is def. not the easiest thing I have done. I have been trying to keep a diary of my feelings, experiences, etc. This is a short excerpt from my dairy I thought I would share. I was very discouraged this day, yet it very motivated.

"Each person is consumed and worried about their own well being. Very few people truly 100% put another person before them. My goal is to give up myself…ALL myself to help the people around me. Even when the deed is small it is still something. And those deeds tend to add up. Just a smile, or a friendly hello, a open ear, a shoulder to cry on. You are NEVER going to have all the answers, and you will not ALWAYS have the right words to say. You don't have to. Simply be yourself. Trust in the Lord to guide you in your ways. Even when it feels as though everything in your life is in the wrong direction or for the wrong meaning remember that God has a plan for you, a hope, and a promise, don't worry about your life, he will lead you in the way of everlasting life. Put your trust in him."

I apologize if it wasn't very structured but when I type in my diary I just type how I feel at that moment. Anyways, I truly do feel a little disconnected from the outside world and hope that this little blog can help ppl get a feeling of how my life is. I will try by best to keep you all posted. I apologize a head of time if I do not.

Never a dull moment

On the trips to our cc meets we always use tons of water bottles. So we decided to get a little creative with the bottles and tied them together with the plastic wrap that we use to wrap our legs with ice after a hard run. We then proceeded to tie them to the men's vehicle. Needless to say it didn't take Jack long to figure it out he had a trail of water bottles behind him.

Sterling Cross Country

This was certainly my favorite cross country season at Sterling College. The girls were amazing women, the practices were hard :), the competition tough, and the weather cooperated(most of the time). I competed close to the best I have any other CC season. I am also in the best shape and healthiest I have ever been! Yeah for that. It is nice to end on a good note. I get a week break off from practice and then we start indoor track practice Monday. So much for a rest....oh well, it is good for me.

Brazil 08

I am leaving for Brazil Saturday May 10! 2 days! I am very excited but a little nervous. I really do not want to get sick while I am down there. I have my bible, journal, pen and I think that is all I need. :) Oh, and duct tape and beef jerky! I can't wait to learn more about the country, the people there, and more about myself!
